Pomegranate Rum Cooler

We made these for Christmas, but they will make a perfect New Year's Eve party drink.
Make your own pomegranate simple syrup so there's no added junk in it and you have a clean, fresh taste that isn't too sweet.
What you'll need:
4 ounces homemade pomegranate simple syrup
4 ounces Bacardi rum
8 ounces seltzer
Fill two rocks glasses with ice, and set aside.
Fill a stainless steel shaker, or large glass, with ice. Pour in the pomegranate syrup, rum and seltzer. Using a long spoon, stir well.
Cover the top of the shaker with a strainer and pour into the glass. Garnish with a lime.
