The Power of Making Big Changes in Your Life
By JumpRopeQueen on September 01, 2011
I just learned the same autoimmune disease I was diagnosed with 7 months ago, Sjorgren's, is the same one that just caused Venus Williams, the World famous tennis pro, to drop out of the US open this week.
I understand what she is going through. Sjorgren's is the reason why I hit the lowest point in my health I had ever been and why I am in the process of making this dramatic health transformation. I had decided a couple of months ago that I was done bouncing around from doctor to doctor for them to treat the symptoms of this terrible disease. I chose to do everything in my power to turn my health around and to prove to myself that I have total control over my health.
Sjogren’s was negatively impacting my life every day, making me depressed each morning I woke up in pain. The more I hurt, the more I couldn’t work out, and the more weight I gained, causing me to be at my heaviest weight in many years.
Just a couple months after making this life changing decision to change my health, I feel better now than I have ever felt in my life.
I heard a great quote the other day and now I know why I love it so much. Literally.
"Change happens when the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change".
Now, I need to contact Venus Williams and tell her this so I can help put that smile back on her face.
Whatever your reason for change, make it a burning desire deep within you... fuel it with passion... and you will create the life you think you should live. Period.
