The Power of A Smile

Today I got to thinking about the power of a simple smile. A smile has the power to turn a frown upside down, erase doubt, ease fear and heal pain. When is the last time that you smiled to yourself? When is the last time you initiated a smile to someone else?

Have you ever experienced a horrible day and a mere smile or "hello" from a complete stranger quickly erased, even if just for a split second, whatever it was that was troubling you at that moment in time?

When you smile, you are showing another person encouragement, appreciation and acceptance. Furthermore, a smile can work wonders on our own emotional and physical well-being. And the best part about smiles is that they are contagious, so when you share one with the world, you are passing along all of these wonderful benefits.

So go ahead and show those pearly whites; you never know whose world you will change for the better.
