Priorities, Schmiorities
by nannygoats

I spend a great deal of my leisure time ignoring my husband while playing on the computer, talking to YOU people. He'll bounce into my office at home, asking me if I want to go to Starbucks, or go to Tiffany's so I can "pick something out", or tell me that his alien abduction is scheduled for 10pm and not to wait up, and I invariably reply: "Did you say something?"

And yet, he still supports my blogging. And burps my computer when it's gassy.

I came back from L.A. recently and he had designed and ordered these for me:

I know!

Just for that, I think I will have dinner with him tomorrow, rather than throwing whatever gourmet meal he's spent hours preparing onto a plate and taking it into my office. I might even remove the DO NOT DISTURB sign hanging outside my office door.

How do you get a picture into your post?

I tried by doing my post in word and inserting a picture in to the text but it won't transfer into my post - do I have to have pictures hosted on line to include them?

Ways to add a photo to a post

If you have a Flickr http://www.flickr.com/help/faq/ or Photobucket http://photobucket.com/faq account you upload the photos to the service, and then copy the code into your blog post.

If you are using Blogger there is a built-in feature that allows you to pull the photo from your hard drive and upload.

If you use Picassa that is also another way to upload. And if you have a Windows Live account you can upload via the photo gallery feature.

Thanks Gena

I'll try some of those

Am I too late to help?

Hello!

I see Gena has already helped you, but I thought I'd add one more thing.

I didn't actually use the INSERT photo button. I entered the raw HTML (which requires you to click on "disable rich-text" link and then also clicking on "Input-format", then FULL HTML.

But I'm also figuring that once you load a pic on Photobucket (or wherever), then you would push the insert picture button and enter the direct URL reference provided underneath the picture in Photobucket.

Not too late

I guess there are many ways to skin this cat.  I ended up getting a windows live account that let me load my pictures into text that it then sent to my blogher page, which i then edited and posted: Tangled Webs

http://www.blogher.com/tangled-webs

I've had no luck using that picture icon and entering url which I have been experimenting with as I am trying to set up my own blog too.  It seems like it should be a no brainer.  Sometimes I think that coming from an IT background of the 1970's (back when it was call "Data Processing" and we had "Data Entry") makes me overthink this stuff too much, I don't know.

But i will give your method a shot - checked out your blog BTW - enjoyed it - will return - your site has a nice clean look!

It sounds like you have a

It sounds like you have a sweet husband : )

I think I have a recipe for that...
