Product Review - Karen's Body Beautiful Sweet Ambrosia Leave-in Conditioner

(Source)

You may have remembered I did a product review on the We Are Onyx Black Beauty Box last week and it was full of wonderful products along with a few I have been wanting to try.  Karen's Body Beautiful was one of them.  I have heard some great things about this line but haven't had the opportunity to give them a try so this was the perfect time to feel them out.

Founded in 2004 by Karen Tappin, Karen’s Body Beautiful is a luxury beauty line created to provide the purest, highest quality all-natural products and services for the hair and body.

The Karen Body Beautiful line is available in 7 amazing fragrances.

After researching the cosmetic and therapeutic properties of natural ingredients, Karen developed recipes for a full spa line made from all natural ingredients, including lotions, soaps, scrubs, oils, candles and bath salts.

Karen’s Body Beautiful products do not contain sulfates, parabens, propylene glycol, phthalates, mineral oil, paraffin, DEA or artificial color.  Our products are curuelty-free and not tested on animals.  Packaged in a PET recyclable container.

Needless to say I was impressed and by now you know I am all about natural ingredients.  This was truly something I wanted to try and see if I liked using with my Curly Girl Method routine.

This was a sample from my We Are Onyx box so I was worried I wouldn't have enough to use in one cowashing session.  The sample size was only 1.75 oz. and I take a ton of conditioner so I was kinda worried.  My worries were squashed!

The first five ingredients in Karen's Body Beautiful Sweet Ambrosia Leave-in Conditioner :

Purified Water
Jojoba
Avocado and Coconut oils
Vegetable Wax
Panthenol

Karen's Body Beautiful Sweet Ambrosia Leave-in Conditioner  ****

This conditioner was amazing!!!  I mean... it made my hair sing in the shower. First off the smell was very pleasing.  I love products that smell great.  I couldn't place the smell but it was light, and smelled like flowers.  When I placed it in my hair my curls actually clumped!  They got all springy and purdy. (Yea, I said purdy). No scrunching needed whatsoever and I gotta say I was kinda surprised how my hair reacted so positively that quickly.

I had enough to use on my entire head and truthfully I would have liked having more but I really had enough.  I'm heavy-handed....so sue me!  I used it like my Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Restorative Conditioner (cannot BELIEVE I haven't done a review on that yet) as my leave-in and it worked wonderfully.  I didn't really notice any difference after I added gel and it was finally dry but that was a good thing.  What I normally use has my hair looking great.  Here are a few shots I took after my hair was partially dry.

I was quite happy with the finished look and only gave this product 4 stars because where can I find it?  I know it's in Target but I haven't seen it yet but if I do I WILL be picking it up and giving it a longer try.  I probably haven't seen it because if you didn't know...I can't find ANYTHING.  It's a well know fact with my family. *hangs head in shame*

This is something to try if you are big on natural ingredients and super big on no animal testing.  An 8.5oz bottle goes for $16.00 so it may seem too pricey for some but if you are like me, you are willing to pay more for what you love. My hair responded exceptionally well to this product and I only expect good things when I try it again.

Take care Naturals,
