That is Prosperity!
Don’t you just love it… Everyone talks about prosperity. Definitions are as varied as the sands of sea and yet in the last year, I have heard it in churches, read it in books and heard my friends talk of it’s coming. Have you noticed that is always ‘coming’? And for the most part, it is always associated with money. Very rarely do I hear of it being present or moneyless. I have a friend that chants her affirmation of prosperity regularly. “I am prosperous! My income is constantly increasing.” Over and over again like an old worn out mantra with some sort of special magic. Geez… She could have worked for a dollar a day and had more prosperity/money then she has now. But still, she waits….
I am prosperous! Yesterday was a beautiful day here inVirginia Beach. My lungs were filled with wonderful deep breaths of fresh air. It was a wonderful day! That is prosperous! I went to a movie with my daughter and son-in-law. We laughed and just had fun. That is prosperous! I stopped by their house and my granddaughters ran out and gave me a hug and a kiss. The littlest, who is just three, waved and said “Come in, Gamma.” That is prosperous. I went home and walked into my wonderful apartment with its plants and my elephant collection. That is prosperous. I talked on the phone with a dear friend from Oregon. That is prosperous. I climbed into my bed and read a bit before I drifted off to sleep. That is prosperous! I woke up this morning to yet another wonderful day.
Prosperity is far more than just satisfying our wants. It is something so very deep within us that it affects the very essence of our existence. To me, it is a state of mind and a knowing inside that shouts out at how wonderful life is. It is going in to each day knowing that despite our circumstances we are so graciously blessed. That is where everything begins, from the inside out. We are first prosperous inside and the outer comes along all by itself.
Prosperity to all!!
