Quaker is helping people like you fight hunger in your communities with Go Grants. Through July 2009, Quaker is awarding 100 Go Grants of $500 to set in motion hunger projects across the U.S. Now, you are eligible to apply for a $1,000 BlogHer Go Grant to use in your community, developed for BlogHer '09 conference attendees. Download an application and tell us about your project and the impact it would have on your community in 150 words or less by 11:59 p.m. ET on July 21, 2009. Applications must be emailed to BlogHerGoGrants@quakeroats.com.
It's all part of the Quaker Go Project, a social movement powered by the goodness of whole-grain oats and YOU. It encourages consumers to fuel forward the energy they get from the wholesome goodness of whole-grain oats through donations, grants and volunteer opportunities.
Hundreds and hundreds of Go Grant applications have poured in, and projects like a free fruit delivery service to the homeless in Oakland, Calif., summer lunches and books to children at risk of hunger in northwestern Vermont, and breakfast for students who do not have the means to eat one at home in Tuscola, Ill. are already underway. What can you do to make a difference in your community?
