QUEEN LATIFAH SHOW
By bigcurvylove on September 18, 2013
Queen Latifah looked fabulous hosting the Plus Size Fashion show at the BlogHer13 Conference this year in Chicago and I’ve been excited to see her new TV chat show in LA. Here’s a behind the scenes look at her new show! I’m always a huge fan of the giant billboards on the studio walls. Let me tell you she looks more beautiful in person. Her fashion is always spot on and she’s really tall at 5’10.”
Before we get to Queen Latifah’s show I have to remind you that the last time I was on the Sony lot was for a studio tour and spotted Seth Rogan. This time I was walking along chatting with the other audience members when I saw Kristen Bell being chauffeured around in a golf cart. I instantly shouted “Oh my god, hi, hiiiiii” I knew who she was but couldn’t remember her name…so embarrassing. I even bloody well own the Forgetting Sarah Marshal DVD!
I had to put my failed celebrity encounter behind me and focus on my audience with the Queen. We were all ushered into the audience green room behind the set. There were brownies (yum), coconut water (yuck) and loads of screens and interactive social media booths to play with while waiting for our seats.
This is the “My Studio” booth audience members are invited into for a ‘chat to camera.’ I waited in line for a while but before I reached the front of the queue we were called into the studio. I promise my Big Curvy Lovers I tried my best to get in and ask Queen Latifah your questions but no cigar on this attempt.
The show’s set is absolutely amazing! Apparently Lenny Kravitz designed it. Wow. The audience was hyped, there was an in-house DJ and we got to see Kevin Hart interviewed as well as a MasterChef recipe.
There’s something else you should know about the Queen Latifah show and that is the sexy staff she employs. Wow, I spent a lot of time checking the ring fingers of guys on set (let’s call it multi tasking). So that’s my tale of an audience with a Queen (without actually meeting Queen Latifah!) If you get a chance to go to a taping I highly recommend it!
