Questions to Ask Before Your Kids Head Back to School
[Editor's Note: As parents, we have specific goals and objectives for our kids every school year. Similarly, our children also have ideas about what they'd like to accomplish as they embark on another year of learning. Andrea at Gold Coast Mama has a wonderful tradition of taking each of her kids' out for a one-on-one before school starts where they talk about what they're looking forward to, what might be causing them some anxiety and to work on some objectives for the year. Our kids always look forward to their back-to-school dinners, and we love having the opportunity to engage with each guy individually and meaningfully. 2. What are you least looking forward to?
3. What do you see as your biggest challenge?
4. Are there any nonacademic issues that concern you about the upcoming year?
