Raw Foods Diet, challenge Accepted!
I was at the Nordstrom Bridal show with my mom and future mother-in-law, listening to them talk amongst themselves about all the fabulous ideas and plans they have for my wedding. "This isn't so bad," I thought. It was the second time they had met and we had avoided the apocalypse that I had dreaded may occur. I have to say, they did a great job of getting along....with each other that is. With me however, I started to feel that panick, that I-am-losing-control-of-my-wedding type flutter in my stomach. Until that is, in walked the coolest, most amazing wedding consultant, Joe.
I loved him straight from the start. My future mother-in-law called him "Frank", as he was the embodied wedding planner from Father of the Bride, Martin Short. "Frank", my new best friend, took control, he was calm, cool, and collected, he was so perfect in fact, that he somehow talked me into doing a raw foods diet for two months along with yoga two days a week. Ha! you laugh [ if you know me or any other meat-eating, fried-food-loving, cupcake-obsessed person]. But I thought, "why not?". If "Frank" tells me it will make me glow and smell amazing, then why not just give my mom and future-mother-in-law one more thing to gossip and snarf at! After all, if I can't have my wedding my way, I might as well look amazing.
So, starting tomorrow, I am going to go on a two-month raw foods diet and will be dragging my glowing self to hot yoga twice a week. So, until midnight, I'm finishing off the rest of my Christmas chocolate and half of a left-over burger and fries from Kumas. It is my version of a last meal. If only I had a Sprinkles cupcake.
