Hey girlie-

     Jesus H it sounds like you have a lot to think about..!  Yes, it was cool to hang w/Rockin' Dokken again.  Just like old times...yes, diggin' new house very much, but there are a lot of little things to fix up.  Apparently some previous tenant was a psycho & punched holes through most of the (interior) doors-they tried to cover them up w/mirrors but the ones that they managed, were all totally crooked, so I just fixed those.  I have to get some more brackets to hang the last mirror.  Some of them (the holes) are so off kilter there isn't much hope-I was thinking of maybe wallpapering (disgusting, I know) over them?  They're those cheap hollow pressed wood panel type doors, so there isn't much hope for repair.  We'll see...D. & I are still cool-he's going to a wedding this weekend so I have to go & brat (Chaos) sit.  As long as I can keep him & my critters seperated, there shouldn't be a problem.  He was going to bring him to Pet Play House but we went there today to check out the doggie "condos" & I was like, shit, you'd be better off bringing him to the pound, their kennels are bigger...they have a nice big play area but there were too many dogs in it-recipe for disaster.  And the receptionist was a bitch.  I've heard too many horror stories about kennels...it's gonna suck (I'm working all weekend, of course) but it's better than having it on my conscience if something were to go wrong.  Their place looks a lot better than it actually is, on their website.  I'm glad we checked it out first.  It's probably good enough for someone ELSE'S dog, but not ours.  I would consider it as a last resort. 

     So, Korea, again?  I never really got the impression that you liked it there much.  Thailand would be cool, but be prepared-they are in many cases hideously cruel to animals.  Those people that get mauled by elephants usually deserve it, though many of the caretakers have done it for generations, & consider them family.  I had a good friend from Thailand, but then she had a kid, so no mas.  Also volunteer work, while noble, is for the wealthy & Bored.  If I had the time & the money I'd do it, & if I do ever get to vet school, my dream is to work at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, or the wolf rehab center in MN, but that's pretty far off.  Plus I'll have student loans to pay off, etc, so I'd probably be in my 60's by the time I could afford to do it.

     School is pretty much killing me-I seem to have been assigned an extra work day (Tuesday) which is cool, as I need the dinero, but leaves me basically no time to do much of anything else.  Funny how 1 day can make such a huge difference.  6 more weeks though & I'm Free...I had a few good days so I don't have to panic quite yet about how I'm going to pay for my new life of luxury.  1 of these mornings I'm going to take my camera on our daily hike, just so I can brag about B & S's new backyard (today I made it to the "Property of UNR No Trespassing" sign.  Whoopee!  Those guys can't even afford their precious marching band anymore, so I doubt they have $ to patrol a chunk of desert for trespassers).  It's really beautiful up there.  D. took them 1 day all the way up to Cabrillo.  I think they had their doubts at first but now they love being apt. dogs-they get walks 4-5 times a day.  I did almost kill myself this morning stumbling on a rock while we were coming down the stairs, but aside from that I think it's good for all of us.  I need to put my contacts in before we go on these excursions I suppose...I was pretty embarrassed, as I did fall on my ass the other day coming down the hill-that was understandable, it's pretty steep-but the bottom of the steps?  I just didn't see it.  It was, for the record, a Big rock that did Not belong there at All.  I don't know how I
