Recession inspired grocery shopping

Added April 2, 2008 - 8:28am by | in

I have always been a believer in coupons, however when this
recession hit I knew we had to start saving more and spending less. So I
hit the internet on how to reduce my grocery bill, along with all of my other
bills. I was able in less than two months to take my food bill from $1000
a month to under $450. I do spend about three hours a week cutting coupons and
planning, but it is well worth the time.

A little bit about me, I work a full time job, I have three
children. I am married to an Irish man,
who is the love of my life. However my
Irish man loves meat and potatoes and beer, things we have not given up. I my self enjoy a cocktail… what I am getting
at is although I have slashed my bill in half we still eat and drink what we
always have.

So back to my blog greenstew.com, this is just a website
that shows all the great buys around town, and tries to get people to see how
important it is to save money.
