It can be easy for women (and parents of both genders) to put taking care of themselves last on the priority list. With so many other responsibilities- work, kids, spouse, family, cooking, housekeeping, PTA, and more, it’s no wonder that our own needs get pushed to the very end.
Sometimes I wish I had a coach waiting for me in the morning when I wake up, someone to remind me that if I don’t take care of myself I can’t do a good job of taking care of anyone else. I was thinking these very thoughts this morning when I made this video (with no makeup, mind you!):
Did you do something nice for yourself today? Did you take care of your body, your health, and your mind? If not, take 5 minutes right now. Do some stretches, have a cup of tea, write yourself a thank you note, anything. And tomorrow when you wake up, think of me reminding you to make yourself a priority on your own to do list for the day!
