Retro Chic Super Bowl Party

Syndicated

The Super Bowl Countdown ends on Sunday. At that point everyone joins together to watch commercials and eat! Oh, wait, I mean they join together to watch a football game.

The Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers meet up in Dallas on Sunday to run, throw, kick and pummel each other. That match-up gives you a number of "theme options" outside the pizza, wings, chips, and beer that are thrown at you the moment Super Bowl Party ads go on the radio, newspaper, and TV. Oh wait, there's that odd Ritz Cracker and Coke Zero pairing our local grocer suggests.

You could go Tex Mex, or Wisconsin foods, or Pittsburgh foods -- but in that case, I recommend branching out and serving a variety of Pennsylvania foods. (I do love a good Philly cheese steak and have an idea about how to make Philly cheese steak sliders.) More notably you could have a RETRO food Super Bowl.

Of course, balls are the name of the game.

Meatballs:

You also can't have a party without dip:

With all those options and more -- you can definitely put on a memorable Super Bowl party at your house -- whether for just you and your family or for a whole gang of friends.
