There are tons of moms out there who rely on wine to help them with the daily grind that is motherhood. I am not one of these moms simply because I have a ridiculously low tolerance. A simple glass of wine with dinner has the potential to make for a very embarrassing night for anyone who happens to be with me. I’m not sure how I became such a lightweight, but it is what it is.
Anyway, I am part of a really great book club, and once a month, I get to have 1-2 glasses of alcohol with some really wonderful women. Recently, one of the lovely ladies brought a wine called ReVah to book club. I enjoy sweet wine, so when I saw that the bottle was red, I immediately dismissed it. But upon tasting it, there were a lot of “wow, this is good” or “what is this” comments coming from the peanut gallery. So, I gave it a try. Now, I am by no means a wine connoisseur, but holy hell, is this wine good! Being that it is a pomegranate wine, it is a smooth, sweet wine, which is right up my alley. However, there is a slight bitterness to it as well, which makes it bearable for the red wine drinkers who prefer a dry wine. The price is right for this Armenian wine, as I was able to pick up a bottle for only thirteen dollars. Finding it was a challenge for me, but that may just be because I don’t live in a big city. Our local Fresh Market is the only supermarket in the area that carries it.
So, for all of the moms out there who need to wind down at the end of the day, or for a great party or get together, I would definitely recommend the unique taste of ReVah wine. :)
