Rhoda Vickers Hosting DIY Conference in Atlanta + More

Rhoda Vickers from Southern Hospitality tells us that she's heading up a DIY/home decor blogging conference in Atlanta on June 21 and 22. The community is very excited for this niche conference and hope to make it an annual event. A great group of DIY home bloggers are behind the scenes helping her get it all planned and implemented.

Barbara Rogenmoser of A Day in the Life of a Mom just published her first children's book, Rose's Jungle.

Annie from The Adventures of Annie and Her Boys was recently featured in a Forbes.com article about how female attorneys are empowering themselves with virtual law practices in order to live the life they want to live and have their career at the same time. She's a solo practitioner intellectual property attorney who is currently living in Australia while practicing law with US clients.

Lindsey's site, Lost In Cheeseland, is nominated (for the 2nd year in a row) for Best European Blog in the 2012 Bloggies.

Mama in Wonderland's Shannon Hyland-Tassava has released her first book, The Essential Stay-at-Home Mom Manual: How to Have a Wondrous Life Amidst Kids and Chaos, has just been published by Booktrope Editions and is now available on Amazon and elsewhere. A self-help "survival guide" to happier and healthier at-home motherhood, it's written from dual perspectives as a clinical health psychologist and an experienced at-home mom, and includes chapters on fitness, mood, stress management, relationships, self-care, healthier eating, at-home kid activities, budgeting, and more, combined with blog excerpts and real-world mothering anecdotes.

Kristine Brite McCormick of Cora's Story was on CNN. Her daughter, Cora was featured in a piece by Elizabeth Cohen about pulse oximetry screening.

Susie Middleton of Sixburnersue.com has a second book, The Fresh & Green Table, set for release June 20, 2012. It's available now for preorder on Indie Bound, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble.

Dresden from Creating Motherhood will be speaking on a panel at the National Anti-Hunger Conference in Washington, DC at the end of February. She'll be on a panel to talk about her experiences on food stamps after writing about it on her blog. The post was shared and reshared and it reached the national offices of Feeding America. She'll be talking to policy makers and elected officials about how to help more families effectively that are on food stamps.
