Road Trip to Chicago!
by Pam

With the BlogHer Conference a mere -- ack, is that two weeks!

-- away, those of us taking the long way there are getting ready to hit the highway. I'm heading out on a blogging bender starting next week, my travel companions and I are rounding up our camping gear, making maps, and asking for advice on where we should stop to see the world's largest [fill in the blank]. We're consulting atlases and websites and yep, even the tourism offices. We're learned that Iowa isn't boring, that there are hot springs near Yellowstone, and that the world's largest [fill in the blank] is probably in North Dakota.

I know I'm not the only one roadtripping/carpooling to BlogHer -- there was, after all, promotional stuff right here about BlogHer carpools. Happy Healthy Hip is driving to Chicago from San Diego -- a different route than ours -- and it should be fun to see what roadside attractions are on the southern route. Amy in Ohio also scored a seat in a sponsored carpool. And hey, maybe you're in one of the sponsored pools or maybe you're choosing your own adventure and roadtripping independently.

My roadtripping companions just did a series of airing our bad habits posts, just to get it all out in the open. I wanted everyone to know that yes, I get carsick, our token guy confessed that he sings, unprompted, often, and our third, another woman, knows nothing, NOTHING, from camping. Fellow road trippers, who's in your car? Where are you stopping on the way and how are you managing your trip? Share your Chicago Road Trip blog links below, would you please?

Road Trip

I'm actually meeting up with Happy Healthy Hip Mom in Colorado after going to hang out with some bloggers in Utah and a camping trip in between. Sounds like we are all about to have some kind of excellent adventures!

Reunion

I live about two miles from the conference so I may even walk if the weather is nice (ie. not too hot - or cold, this is Chicago after all.)

Very excited that a great friend from England is flying over to attend and staying with me. Yippee. Girl time.

On the Road

We're hauling ass compared to you guys who are able to take your time! I love your interactive map and appreciate you linking to my site!

I'm posting our itinerary tonight and will link to your page so readers can follow along on your adventures and ours!!
