BlogHer '09 In Real Life

It's official: this Friday marks the close of Geek Lab and Room of Your Own polls. Have you voted yet? It takes less than a minute, and I happen to know you spent waaaayyyy more than twice that surfing the Internet this morning.

In case you're not in the loop, let me fill you in: each year at BlogHer's annual conference, a portion of the panels offered are programmed by the attendees. This year, we've doubled the number of community-programmed panels and are offering 12 slots for these unique sessions. Additionally, BlogHer is hosting a Geek Lab, an all-day presentation-and-personal-help lab filled with both beginner- and advanced-level sessions. Chances are you'll find yourself in at least one of these sessions, which begs the question: Have you voted yet for the panels you're most likely to attend?

For a sneak-peek at Geek Lab proposals, take a look at these: Making Your Blog More Accessible, Using Photoshop to Edit Photos, WordPress for Beginners and Setting up Social Networks. Want to see more? Preview all the suggestions and vote here: GEEK LAB POLLS

But that's not all! BlogHers and BlogHims have also suggested a bevy of Room of Your Own sessions, including: Sponsored vs. Unsponsored Blogging, Grassroots Citizen Media, Blogging Your Special Needs Child and How To Turn Visitors into Loyal Readers. Of course, there are many, many more proposed panels than just those few. Preview all the suggestions and vote here: ROOM OF YOUR OWN POLLS.

All Geek Lab and Room of Your Own sessions run concurrently with our pre-programmed agenda, so there are a plethora of diverse, interesting sessions to choose from throughout each day. With so many options waiting for your bidding, you're bound to find several you love! Visit the Geek Lab and Room of Your Own polls today, and vote for those you're most likely to attend. Voting ends this Friday, May 1st, at 2 p.m. (PT).
