Perhaps today's easy lunar aspects will help soothe the generally stressful condition that prevails this week. The Moon is in Sagittarius, one of the most lighthearted and festive signs of the zodiac. If ever we could use a little lightening-up, it would be now. Let's hope the more fervent, zealous side of Sagittarius doesn't come to the fore. Keep an open mind, and remember, we're all on the planet together.

The Moon is in Sagittarius all day. It's in the Waxing Crescent phase, 40% of full.

Today's aspects are:

* Sun Square Mars - To overcome today's short-tempered, grouchy energy, chant Patience is a virtue' to yourself all day. Avoid arguments and temper tantrums.
* Sun Square Pluto - Power struggles are virtually unavoidable today, and it could be quite an emotional time as a result. Be clear and firm to avoid problems.
* Mercury Sextile Venus - Relationships and all social interactions go well under this idealistic, creative transit. We're on our best behavior and are well-mannered.
* Mercury Trine Neptune - Nostradamus had nothing on us for these few intuitive days. We should record our prophetic visions but be careful whom we show them to.
* Mars Opposite Pluto - Hidden control issues come to the surface, taking us by surprise. Purposeful action -- not reaction -- paves the way for positive results.

Happy Birthday to model, actress and musician Jada Pinkett Smith and to Lance Armstrong who are both 36 today, and also to James Gandolfini who is 46.

actually, Mercury and Venus retrograde look tame by comparison to what's happening astrologically this week! The following are the hard aspects:

* Sun Square Pluto - Power struggles are virtually unavoidable today, and it could be quite an emotional time as a result. Be clear and firm to avoid problems.
* Mars Opposite Pluto - - Hidden control issues come to the surface, taking us by surprise. Purposeful action -- not reaction -- paves the way for positive results.
* The Moon is conjuncting Pluto and triggering all of the above.

Of course with so much friction comes results as painful as they may be. Here's hoping not too many of us are being effected.
