. It was created because I could see the connection between what Sarah Palin has done and what women are tempted to do. We look confident, we speak with authority, we're articulate. As a result other people think that we are more skilled than we really are. This is the way the post goes:This is post I wrote last night on my blog, Barbara's Travels....the left side of my brain
So
let's say you are a woman. You work for a huge corporation. You run a
small subsidiary and have never met anyone that had a businesses
similar to yours. Oh, and let's just add that you have never even been
a part of the corporation's real leadership because your part of the
business is so small. We will also ask you to consider that your
education does not qualify you to do any more than what you are now
doing.
Now, let's pretend that the CEO of the company that supports your
family, aunts, uncles, cousins, step mothers, in fact, your whole
world, wants you be the second in line to run huge corporation. They
come to town and want you to be ready to accept the challenge in a few
days. Given that you don't know what you are doing and so much is
riding on your decision, would it occur to you to say NO-NO-NO-NO-NO?
Would you question the judgment of the people that came and found
you.? Or would you pray on the matter and decide that, in spite of
your better judgment, you are above all these concerns and that you are
going to do it because, well, you are very flattered?
It seems that the selection of Sarah Palin as Vice-Presidential
candidate for the Republican Party is the ultimate example of a woman's
inability to say NO. Although I do see a distinct difference between
being the president of the PTA or even a small subsidiary and being
vice-president of the United States, I think that sometimes saying NO
is a good idea. What do you think?

Hubris for Boys and Girls
The way she presents herself, I would say that she is saying to herself: "It's about time" and not, "Oh no, this is too much." Maybe that's a good thing, to see a woman with too much self-confidence, because there really are far too many of us who don't see ourselves as capable as we are. Hubris, yes, she wears it well. But please, someone tell her that it's not the same as being capable.

We all walk such a fine line as women. To strong we are B___ches! Too weak, we are, well. too weak! But when it come to capable, there is no doubt when you see it. And she is not that. It turns out she is narrow minded and cannot accept or would not meet with a "sinner". I find that is very frightening. If our leaders don't sit down at the table with men like Abrams or leaders of rogue nations we will never make progress in this world.
Thank you so much for the comment.
