You know, I am sick and tired of some people saying that we should not mishandle Sarah Palin! What? What is the difference? Is she not a woman like Hillary was? Except Hillary is a lot more brilliant! The Republicans gloated over the fact that they could tear Hillary apart! Sarah Palin, in fact, called Hillary a whiner! So I say, we treat her the same way she has treated women and Hillary in particular.
We will go after Sarah on issues affecting women and children in this country -- w will not insult her the way she insulted and belittled Sen. Obama. If she is a real woman, then she should talk on the issues and refrain from baseless attacks on her opponent.

Specialty: Double-Standards
Many Republicans in misleadership positions are the slick lawyers they claim to oppose: they twist anything and everything to fit into the image that they want to portray. There is no reality, there is only what sells. And this woman is just another according to this design. There is no winning them over, there is only continuing to tell the truth and demand the truth. If the same people who Swiftboated Kerry, and mocked and insulted Hillary, can then say "hands off Sarah" we need to realize that they are truly a schizophrenic bunch: their reality and the reality for the rest of us. I say don't stoop to their level, but keep hammering home the dirty truth about these paople and how their "policies" would harm most of us.

And thank God she's not.
Seriously. I am no Hillary fan. I know that makes me an anomaly on this site. She is harsh, bitter, and greedily driven, and showed us early on her disdain of women who choose to stay home. And I thought feminism was all about choice? Apparently only if that choice lines up with the agenda of pro-choice, pro-career, and anti-nearly anything faith based in our decisions. Palin may not be perfect, but her conservative views, and her walking the talk does not disqualify her as a fine candidate. You say you'll take her to task on the issues that surround women and children. How much more pro-women and children could she be? She's a woman, who is a mother, who also believes she can have a career. Where can we disagree with that? How much more pro-children can a woman be, than one who has 5 children, did not abort a child with a handicap, nor hide her 17 yr old's unplanned pregnancy, or insist on abortion there, either? And don't go saying Bristol Palin deserves the shot at an abortion. Who among us really, really feels that the best choice for a woman? Does it not come with its own pain, grief and lifelong consequence? No do I listen to arguments that she should be "protected" and "not punished with a baby" for her "mistake". She took the action of making an adult decision, against best teaching possible. This is the consequence. Deal with it. If more of us had to deal with our consequences from bad choices, instead of having everything cleaned up and paid for by the leftist government, then maybe a positive turn would happen in this country, and for our children. And really, since when is it a good, honorable idea to give out what's been given (treat her the way the Repubs treated Hillary)? That's really mature. How about the old treat others the way you'd like to be treated. Even my four children get that. And she is dealing with issues, just not the ones the left wants her to address.
Okay. So any woman who has
Okay.
So any woman who has children and works is pro-women and pro-children.
FANTASTIC! That describes, um, most of us.
In government, when someone is talked about as being pro-women and pro-children, it means that they support legislation that would benefit ALL or MOST children. And ALL or MOST women.
Palin has a pretty clear record of cutting funding and vetoing legislation that would classify her as Pro-Women and Pro-Children. (Let me know and I'll give you data to back that up with links.)
I am sure she likes her own children and grandchildren very much. And probably likes her women friends, too.
Um...not so much on the pro-children thing
Actually, if she was pro her own children then she would have stayed home for at least a year after her son with Down Syndrome was born, as that is necessary for the child to have a stable upbringing with his condition.
