I tried to describe myself in three words at 2:42 a.m. and that's what I came up with! :-)

My blog, Different Drummer (http://fudgelady.livejournal.com/), has been around for just over a month and I'm having a blast with it. In honor of New Year's Eve, I blogged about the bizarre things American communities "drop" on First Night as their answer to the New York "ball drop."

I'm a mom, wife and writer living in Pennsylvania. I've been a newspaper reporter, genealogist, radio station ad copywriter and more over the years, and have volunteered in politics, support groups and genealogy organizations. I love discovering the stories of all of these great women bloggers -- talk about an addiction with no downside!
