Saw it. Pinned it. Did it: Stripes and Statements!

Welcome to your Thursday dose of Saw it. Pinned it. Did it! I'm linking up with some other fabu-lites to bring this one to you! Unfortunately, our favorite guest blogger, Amanda, who usually runs this post is out of town! So, while she enjoys her brief hiatus, you're stuck with little ole me ;)

I didn't want to do a cooking Pin, mainly because I didn't want you all getting food poisoning and suing me. Was going to do a hair tutorial, BUT of course, when you want your hair to cooperate, it doesn't want to. SO, I decided to stick with something short and sweet! Here you go!

Original Pin:

I've been digging the navy/white stripes trend since last Spring. And we all know these statement necklaces blew up in recent months. Top it off with a classic blazer?? And that's Kaliwood all the way. The funny this is, I saw this pin and realized I pretty much have all of these items to a T!

So here is my version of the look! And some places you can get your own...

Blazer: H&M - It has the roll-up sleeves with striped lining AND the brown capped elbows that I LOVE! Option1 Option2

Statement Bubble Necklace: Etzy Option1 Option2

Striped Tank: Unsure of brand. Option1 Option2

Wanted to show you what my under shirt looks like. It's a tank and this is the back. Don't you LOVE the exposed zipper? A little different from the long sleeve top in the pic, but I think this works just fine, esp since my blazer sleeves roll up with a pattern.

Check out the brown-patched elbows! Great additional detail. Very Kentucky  ;)

Watch: Akribos - get it here

I think you could mix it up with different types of necklaces or even different colors. A white and light pink striped shirt under would look good as well! Play around with it if you don't have the exact pieces! Throw on some skinny jeans and riding boots and you will have a fab, chic casual outfit! Hope you enjoyed this Saw it. Pinned it. Did it! Have a great Thursday!!
