Self Destruct... Yeah, There's an App for That!
By Cathy Steinberg on February 25, 2013
There is a relatively new app called SnapChat we need to talk about. SnapChat is an app that allows the user to take pictures and send them to others for a few seconds before it “self destructs” and deletes.

As you can imagine this is a very popular app with teens and college students. It gives the sender a false sense of security that a risqué picture will only be seen for a few seconds then **poof** gone like it never happened…. Sexting has now found a shiny new house of glass to live in.
Glass house …shattered
I capped this screen shot in less than 1 second. I had set the picture to display for 5 seconds. Up at the right corner it says 4 which means less than one second elapsed before I was able to grab a screen shot.
Nothing is 100% secure online. Do not do anything on your phone that you wouldn’t do in person with your friends watching and strangers judging you, because you will most likely have your picture spread far and wide for others to see and laugh at your expense.
Don’t give others control over you by exposing yourself in a vulnerable manner.
Fabulous girls are smarter than that!
Know what to do when it matters most!
