Eating Enough Fruits and Vegetables During the Winter Months

The winter months hinder our fresh fruit and fresh vegetable selections, but we do have other alternatives. I know many people, myself included, have a habit of getting in a rut with food and we tend to gravitate towards the same types of foods all of the time.

It is always healthier to incorporate fresh choices for fruits and veggies instead of purchasing canned or frozen. Some great fruit choices for winter are persimmons, pineapple, pears, dates, raspberries, grapes, cranberries and apples.
