A Series On Healthy Relationships
By MrsDriver on February 03, 2013
Ah, February. It's the middle of winter without much to look forward to other than 6 more weeks of winter. Well, there is Valentine's Day. A controversial celebration of romantic love. There are those that despise. They see it as nothing more than a made up holiday to sell cards, flowers and chocolates. There are those of us, however, that love the excuse to do a little extra with their love. Of course it's important to show your affection year round, but it's not always realistic to go out and do something extra special like get a couple's massage or enjoy a nice dinner at your favorite restaurant.
With all the extra attention on love and romance this time of year, it's a good time to look past the Hallmark cards and teddy bears and have a thoughtful discussion on healthy relationships. This is the first in a month long series about just that. We will be examining signs of abusive relationships, safe sex practices, healthy ways to handle conflict and more.
