Between her family and career, Debra Epply's life seemed way too busy to go back to school. But she discovered a way to make it all work. Her advice? Do it now!
"You have a job. You have a family. If I can do, you can do it. Don't take 9 years to think about it like I did. There were times when I thought I was going to quit. Family life's too much. Working's too much. School’s too much. But I thought that wasn't an option. Going back to school was a huge plus financially. I am now the head of OB coordinator, managing the department."
Well into her 30s, Debra Epply graduated from Kaplan University with her bachelor's and master’s degrees in nursing.
Kaplan University provides a practical, student-centered education that prepares individuals for careers in some of the fastest-growing industries. The University, which has its main campus in Davenport, Iowa, and its headquarters in Chicago, is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission (www.ncahlc.org). It serves more than 53,000 online and campus-based students. The University has 11 campuses in Iowa, Nebraska, Maryland and Maine, and Kaplan University Learning Centers in Maryland, Wisconsin, Indiana, Missouri and Florida.
