Need an answered prayer?

JMJ Do you have a prayer request? A special need?  Well, I spent all night placing a live webcam to Lourdes, France on my website, including a little mailbox to their prayer request email.  All kinds of weird computer problems kept cropping up, and I kept offering them up as a prayer, which did help to keep me from being annoyed.  Then... This morning I got an email from a friend who told me that today is OUR LADY OF LOURDES FEAST DAY!  Wow.  I had no idea!  That is just so cool... ...more

Interracial Dating

I had originally posted the following on my go-to site www.MIAMIurbanlife.com as a forum discussion after being selected to be a discussion panelist for a live community panel following an off-Broadway show for next week. While my main goal is to see the thoughts and experiences of my local community at first, I figured I would expand the discussion to the open web hoping some would be brave enough to share. I haven't received as much feedback as I have been hoping for considering most of my forum discussions usually take off right away....more

What Was Your Worst Date Ever? It Might Be Worth Something

For many of us, the word "date" reminds us of nervous high-school moments, our first dinner with our eventual mate, that first time after a divorce we agreed to have a drink with someone new. But almost all of us have had dates we call "bad." But what about those that go beyond bad?...more
