Valentine's Day Breakfast

Well Valentine's Day is just a few days away and I'm sure many of you are out rummaging through the Hallmark Cards to find the right one to give to your honey. Trying to think of something special to give or make for your Valentine?...more

Need an answered prayer?

JMJ Do you have a prayer request? A special need?  Well, I spent all night placing a live webcam to Lourdes, France on my website, including a little mailbox to their prayer request email.  All kinds of weird computer problems kept cropping up, and I kept offering them up as a prayer, which did help to keep me from being annoyed.  Then... This morning I got an email from a friend who told me that today is OUR LADY OF LOURDES FEAST DAY!  Wow.  I had no idea!  That is just so cool... ...more

Interracial Dating

I had originally posted the following on my go-to site as a forum discussion after being selected to be a discussion panelist for a live community panel following an off-Broadway show for next week. While my main goal is to see the thoughts and experiences of my local community at first, I figured I would expand the discussion to the open web hoping some would be brave enough to share. This is America, damn it, and we are entitled to soulmates, and dream jobs, and beautifully renovated kitchens. Valentine's Day for Feminist Lovers

I know that some people believe that "feminist" and "lovers" do not belong in the same sentence, either because feminists are horrible people incapable of love (especially heterosexual love, which is why we never shave our pits or legs or bikini lines) or because feminists are horrible people that no one else is capable of loving (because we never shave our pits or legs or bikini lines).Pat Robertson famously opined that, "Feminism is a socialist, anti-family, political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians." Obviously anyone who engages in feminism must be terrible....more
