Valentines Day Traditions

Valentines Day is coming…that one day each year devoted to sharing and showing your lover how much they mean to you. This is the day our husbands scramble to get that over priced bouquet of roses that die almost immediately, a box of candy that will require another 10 hours in the gym and jewelry that you wouldn’t necessarily choose for yourself and rarely wear....more

Why Am I Not Meeting "the One?"

So many of us wonder why we aren't meeting "the one". Many of us even get angry about it. "She found someone. Why can't I?"..."Look at her. She uglier than me"...Okay...So that's not very nice, but you have to at least hear me a little bit on this. I had been completely alone for years and years. My constant complaint was that I "never met anyone good." Days have turned to months have turn to years. I have run into countless people with the same story. People have repeatedly set me up with "someone who would be perfect" for me....more

A Note From the Other Woman

I'm taking  your husband - for now.He tells me he loves me.  I'm no niave teenager seeking his approval.  He can't help but think that he loves me.  I do all the nasty things you can't bring yourself to do - and I love doing them.  All men fall in love with that for a while....more

For some time I have wanted to create a blog in order to use as a diary so that I can stop bitching to my sister and friends about my relationship. This blog will emotional, dramatic, heartfelt, and I'm sure at times confusing. I guess I should lay some ground work for what you are about to read. I am a female in my late twenties living in Florida. ...more

Why is the EX the enemy?

Drumroll please...dum dum dum!  THE EX!  We always assoicate the ex as "the bad one" or "the one who cannot be trusted".  We freak when we find out that our guy is talking to his ex.  Why is this?  Is it an insecurity?  A fear that he might still love her?  Why do ex's still talk? ...more

Adventures on Match.com

Last year, after the Rebound Guy and I called it quits, my girlfriends and I had dinner at this cute, quaint Italian restaurant in Broad Ripple. After we had all deconstructed every relationship under the sun, the girls suggested I create a profile on an online dating site….namely Match.com. Appalled, I announced….”I do not have trouble meeting men…” to which they responded…. “WHO??...more

I'm not single anymore

Next weekend, my son and I will head to Minnesota to celebrate Christmas (a little early) with my parents, my sister, her husband and their two boys. It's going to be great, even though we're only going to be there for the weekend. The one thing I'm nervous about and anxiously awaiting, is the fact that Mr. Right will be there too. He's going to pick us up from the airport and then spend the entire weekend (assuming everything goes OK) with my family and I....more
