My 3 sisters, parents and I are spread all over California and we keep in touch through texts, phone calls, and lots of picture sending of the 10 cousins/ grandchildren.

I love skype. It works great for me! Even with the 16/17 hour time difference, it makes me feel closer to them. Of course, it doesn't help when they show me the delicious food my dad is cooking and I can't have any! But even then, I'd much rather be able to see them, especially since I haven't seen them in over two years now. Flights are really expensive these days!

I use skype to keep in touch with everyone, as well gchat/video. I even have my business meetings with my Travelated.com partners via skype. I'll upload a photo of us toasting our launch.

We use Skype, facebook, email, and calling. We also send postcards sometimes and receive them. Between it all, we are in communication with family every day or every other day in some sort of way.

I live in the Midwest in USA, immediate family is on both coasts and in the Latin America. Rest of family is in Poland, Germany, and France and our roots are all Polish.

It beats the month long postal service for a letter and $100/half hour phone call my parents endured when we moved here in the '80's.

We skype, we text, we call, we email and we even send mail the old, and lovely, fashion way. When the time different makes the kids sleep and play at different times as their cousins far away we try to keep our cyber home updated as good as we can so they can fallow us and visit whenever. You are too more than welcome to a quick but beautiful journey to Sweden!

We call, we text, we skype, we email, and sometimes we even send mail the old fashion way. We want to travel more, but when that's not possible, we blog more. Pictures is a good way of saying "hi and look how big we've gotten" when time differences makes the kids sleeps while their cousins is awake, and vise versa. By sort of making a cyber home they can visit whenever, even in another country...

Our 16 year old son is going to a prep school for his sport. He is on the other side of the country from us. We Skype every night. It makes the world of difference! And for Christmas we gave all our relatives cameras for thier computer so we can all Skype now.

I use Skype. My family is 9h away by plane, I love being able to see them that way. I do emails as well because with the time difference we can't always see each other live. But I'm so thankful for skype and other means of communications available to us those days. It makes it a lot easier to be an expat.

We like readeo because our kids are little bitty and they get to read great books which gives them something to do - I also think the video feed is better than skype.
