What does your world look like out the window right now?

Am I lucky, or what? (I love the snow.)

You are very lucky indeed! It's just wet and rainy here in Southern California. It is making the world about us look refreshed though!
Nothing but blue sky. After our storms before Christmas, then warmer temperature just after the "out-of-towners" came, I was happy that the visitors got some relief from their stormy weather at home. Then they left and took the sunshine away...for a day. But now the sunshine is back. As I was heading out this morning, at about 7 am, there was a breath-taking sunrise. If I hadn't been driving eastward, I would have missed it. If I hadn't been driving, I would have taken a picture. But there was a brilliant glow highlighting the tops of the clouds over the mountains and suddenly the sun was there and I couldn't look any longer for fear of damaging my eyes. A number of songs came to mind..."the sun will come out, tomorrow...", "there is sunshine in my soul today..." and "sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy...". Corny, I know, but I can't help but be grateful for the sun after so much, much needed rain. It was a sweet way to start the day.
There is a website called Three for Hope at http://threeforhope.org/. It tells a very amazing story of the Berns triplets, sisters who were seriously burned when their home caught fire. They were only 18 months old, sustained third degree burns over much of their bodies and fought for life for months They are now adults and were given an amazing new laser treatment that does not require surgery and is not painful. It destroys scar tissue and stimulates collagen. The skin is much improved, more flexible, less painful and sensitive, and looks much better. On the website you can see the results the triplets have had so far, and find out more about the treatment. I first heard about this new laser when I saw the triplets interviewed on TV. They have started this website to help spread the news that there is hope for scarred burn victims. You will be amazed when you see their pictures.
For some reason it's not giving me the option of uploading a photo on the next screen.
We've got a bit of accumulation left on the ground here from last Saturday's snow, but our snowmen have bit the dust.

We were incredibly lucky here in Toronto over Christmas. We did not have severe weather like so many others. We have snow on the ground that is pristine & white. Our streets and sidewalks are clear and it is perfect dog walking weather. I'm a lucky girl.
Take Care,
Joanne
I woke up yesterday to a true wonderland. A frosted landscape is my favorite sight in winter. Thanks for the fun post!

I must be doing something wrong, but here is a link to a picture taken from my front door. This is what is looks like 12 blocks from the ocean in Asbury Park this morning.

We have some snow but too much grass is poking through to make it pretty!

Couldn't quite figure out how to upload the picture, but here in California it is grey but dry, and the oranges and lemons on our backyard tree are just turning from green to orange!

There is snow outside, hopefully our part of Europe is done with snow for the year...
Our snow storm was a bust. Outside my window are bare branches mixed with evergreen branches and it looks beautiful in the midday sun.

We have beautiful snow where we are too, although not as much as you.. It was a white Christmas and those are the best kind. Back home it is 50 and no snow, so we are thankful to be somewhere with the pretty white stuff for the holidays :)
I don't remember such a big snow storm... and it is still snowing. The drifts are insanely high…
I guess I need to have done a blog post? The weather here was fierce lastnight. My hubby says there's about a foot of snow out there. Snow is beautiful, I just wish it came with warm weather :D.
