What summer activity will you miss most when summer ends?

Us? Swimming.

We lived in Hawii for 9 years so we miss summer now that we are stationed here at Ft. Lewis the past year. But we will be going back to HI next year so then I won't have to miss summer anymore.
You have the most beautiful children! It TOTALLY cracks me up that all four of them have different hair colors! Wonder what color hair Lil' Peanut will have? :)
I will never forget that day. It was about 11pm here in Sydney, Australia and I was just about to go to bed when I watched the initial news report on TV. I remember feeling disbelief then very, very scared - so far away but so close. I knew then that it was a world changing event. I wondered what sort of world my little baby (now 11) would grow up in. I could not come close to comprehending what it would have been be like to be in New York on that day. We saw the very best and the very worst of human nature on September 11, 2001.
I remember thinking that we were just one big family. Not team v. team, school v. school, religion v. religion, etc. Just all Americans and all Gods children. Was peaceful to remember that God was still in control...no matter what.
I really don't have to miss summer, here in south west Florida it is pretty much summer all the time!! The only difference in our season's is the degree of heat and humidity and I won't miss either of them ! I am looking forward to being able to turn the A/C off and open the window's and smell the breezes of the bay come through the house . . . :)
I'm going to miss all the outdoor time with my dogs! Playing in the park, lake swims, beach runs, deep woods hiking & camping out. We're all going to mourn the end of summer...
I have fallen in love with hiking this summer. We just saw the wildflowers covering the mountainside up in albion basin (at Alta ski resort). Magic
I will miss having an excuse to eat popsicles and fudge bars. We have had bad luck with air conditioning this summer, and those summer treats were the only things cooling us off! It won't be acceptable to eat two (or three) in a row anymore...
Summer is not my favorite season. Here at the Jersey Shore, the crowds and traffic are rampant. The heat exacerbates my MS symptoms. It's just not fun for me. But there is one exception...
We do have a local car hop place, The Circus, founded in 1954, that is only open in the summer. It is a family tradition to go there, because it is so child friendly, and it is where I like to take my two precious grandchildren now. When it is closed for the season, I miss those lazy, easy going, summer evening outings. I look forward to the next summer and more good times with the ones I love most.
