Simple day really.

There is a storm rippling around us at the moment.  For a while, I was
sitting in the almost dark, typing on here, listening to the thunder
roll.

Today has been a wonderful day, in which I have felt blessed and
loved.  We went to the Environment Day in the Walks, a park near us.
R, AC, Charlie-Paul and his girls.  I made a simple picnic of ham
sandwiches, homemade cake, homemade choc-chip biscuits, crisps and
squash.

It was fabulous.  Warm, but not hot, slightly muggy if anything.  AC
was bombing ahead on his bike, and then slamming on the brakes so that
he stopped at each corner.  The girls were in a good mood, Charlie and
R were chatting, I was sauntering, it was all so damn good.

Usually at this point, dear readers, one would expect a tale of woe to
ensue.  A drama of huge proportions.  An Ex sticking a nose in, or a
car breaking down, or something like that.  but no.  we just had a
really nice day, sauntered to the play park so the kids could run
around, sauntered home, and then I curled up on the sofa after supply
everyone with drinks and biscuits and dozed with a warm AC tiredly
snuggled into my lap, Charlies girls watching Scooby Doo on the end of
the sofa, and R and Charlie just chatting.

Eventually they went, it was sauasage beans and mash for tea, and then an evening pootling around.

Life sometimes delivers me these glorious days.  I know that they are
not exciting by anyone elses standards.  I know that there is no drama
inherent in them, no story of human interest, no news, but I like it
that way.

It's the nature of blogging, I think, that we share the drama. But days like this are bliss and so important.

Thanks for sharing.
