She wasn't kidding when she said she was ready for a change. The first day she had off she was watching the time fly by as she fulfilled all the tasks she planned for herself. She did laundry, cleaned the kitchen and bathroom floors, scrubbed the sinks and tub, put the new comforter on the bed, hung the new curtains and blinds, whipped up a cherry-almond cake, went to the drug store for toilet paper, contact solution, soap and dishwashing liquid. Then she saw a movie, ate lunch, had a snack, checked her email and read three chapters in her book. All of this was accomplished before 7:00pm. When her husband came home they ate dinner, talked about their days, watched the cats play and went for a walk by the water before taking showers and heading to bed for another half-hour of reading and then a good night's sleep. The next day she did it all over again. Different tasks, this time she went to the post office to mail the packages, bought stamps, walked 1.57 miles around the reservoir, broke down the boxes that needed taken downstairs, did the dishes, fed the cats, made the bed, folded laundry, made dinner plans with another couple they hadn't seen in a while, watched the Bonnie Hunt show while eating lunch, wrote that letter she had by wanting to write, read three more chapters in her book and wrote four more pages of her screenplay.
