Dreamin' of the NYC Marathon and the Sweet Sound of a Crowd

I’ve been writing this post in my head for a long time. If you’ve ever wondered what I think about when I run, sometimes I think about this:



In three days, I’m going to run the New York City Marathon.  If you had asked me two years ago if I would ever live in New York, I would have told you no.  I never dreamed that I would end up here...

... in three days, I’m going to toe the line in Staten Island.  Run through Brooklyn, Queens,  past my apartment in Manhattan, up to the Bronx, back through Manhattan, then it’s time for a jaunt in Central Park.  My park.  This city means so much to me, and this marathon means even more.
