Allison makes excellent points that I do my best to impress upon my college Business and Professional Writing students.

Having worked many years in business myself, I use my own background to get their attention. I stress internships and service learning as possible ways to set oneself apart from the mass of new grads.

But I am only one voice, so I'll be showing Allison's article to my students to say, "See, I wasn't just making that advice up!"
