With the TV networks recently announcing their new slate of upcoming shows (a.k.a. “the upfronts”), we’re starting to get a feel for what the fall 2012 season is going to look like (read Andy Travers’ notes on the Fox Upfront).
While you can’t always predict whether a show will be awesome based on the trailers and previews, some have “smash hit” written all over them. NBC’s Revolution is one of those. Chatting with @TVAddict_Blog on Twitter last night, we decided it had shades of Terra Nova and Jericho, and I’ll add the National Geographic reality show @DoomsdayPrepper. And because it’s NBC, hopefully it’ll be ok for families and not unwatchable like The Walking Dead (said with all the respect in the world for fans who love the gore!).
