February was a rough month for training: between ice storms, closed gyms, injury scares, and cancelled races, I missed a lot of workouts and dealt with a little too much frustration and stress for my liking. But it wasn’t ALL bad. Some silver lining: being cautious about the niggles in my leg led to a couple of really good things: 1) it allowed me to catch the problems early enough to prevent them from becoming full blown injuries and 2) it freaked me out enough to seek outside help, which is helping me address a lot of underlying issues could have produced much more serious injuries (plural). . . .
