Editor’s note: I’ve always loved the conversation hearts that arrive in stores every February, just in time for Valentine’s Day. But the store-bought candies are also full of artificial flavors and colors. So why not make them yourself? Nicole from Brown Sugar did just that, whipping up a homemade batch of conversation hearts. The best part? You can customize your hearts with your own messages. --Jane
Of course you have your chocolates but one of America’s favorite Valentine’s candies are conversation hearts. You know what they are. Those cute little heart-shaped candies with cute little messages on them such as Be Mine, Yours, Kiss Me, etc. … I thought it would be awesome to make them and write my own personalized messages on them and give them out as valentines this year.
