Who Exactly is Behind the Huntsman "Manchurian Candidate" Video?
By Disgrasian on January 10, 2012
Should a Presidential candidate speak foreign languages? Republican contender Jon Huntsman has been using phrases of Mandarin Chinese -- the world's most common language -- in debates and interviews. Now some supporters of his GOP rivals are trying to suggest that Huntsman's linguistic and cultural interests are "un-American".
Jen at Disgrasian found a hit video uploaded by a YouTube user who identifies himself as a Ron Paul supporter.
Take this YouTube video put out by Ron Paul devotees “NHLiberty4Paul,” which paints Republican rival Jon Huntsman, former ambassador to China, as a “Manchurian Candidate,” a socialist, a supporter of Chinese “values,” and, ultimately, un-American, all because he–gasp!–speaks Mandarin and has an adopted daughter from China (and India).
Update 11:30 am PST 1/10/12: According to CBS News, Ron Paul's campaign is denouncing the video and the person who made it. At this time, it hasn't been confirmed who is behind the YouTube account NHLiberty4Paul.
