Dear Marissa Mayer: It's Earth Day, Shouldn't We Work at Home?

We've all heard the arguments for telecommuting because it's better for work-life balance, but on this Earth Day, Liz at Hello Ladies wants to remind executives (ahem, Marissa Mayer!) that working from home is also better for the environment:

If you've been thinking about asking for some flex work arrangements, today's the day. Studies show telecommuting can have a positive impact on the environment. In fact, the Environmental Protection Agency quotes one report that estimates, $23 billion could be saved in transportation, environmental, and energy costs if there were a 10 to 20 percent increase in telecommuting.
