Ronan Farrow at the Reach the World event in New York | Melanie Votaw Photo The non-profit, Reach the World, presented Ronan Farrow with its annual Walter Cronkite Award at New York City’s Princeton Club on February 26, 2014. Reach the World founder, Heather Halstead, introduced Farrow, saying that he was reluctant at first to accept the award, feeling that he wasn’t worthy of it considering the prestigious career of journalist Walter Cronkite, who served as a mentor to Halstead.
