She Traded Her House for a Minivan

Bartering has come back into fashion since the recession, but can you believe someone would trade a house for a car? That's exactly what LaWanda Flake did, according to Susana Polo.
LaWanda had a four bedroom house in need of repair but valued at $96,000, which she had purchased at foreclosure last year for $3.6k. But what she really needed was a minivan capable of handling her kids, her disability, and getting to school and back when the buses were being unreliable.
