Editor’s note: Nutrition and diet trends and research often come and go so fast it’s hard to know what to try yourself! Here, two registered dieticians give you the scoop on what’s in and out in 2013, based on a recent survey among workers in their field. My favorite: Teaching people not to count calories, but to find the GOOD calories. -- Judy

The majority of dietitians (57%) surveyed say that eating high-quality calories -- foods with more nutrition per bite -- will be most important for achieving a healthy diet and weight in 2013. It’s not just about total calories, it’s about the quality of those calories.
