Turn Leftover Halloween Candy Into Bark
Yesterday, during a meeting at my office, a coworker told me that the "Halloween Bear" visits his house two weeks after the candy-laden holiday, and the bear takes away any of the treats that haven't been eaten yet. In my house when I was growing up, I got to eat a reasonable amount of my spoils from trick-or-treating, and then the rest went into the freezer to be doled out slowly over the next few months. Of course, my Dad and I would sneak fun-sized bars from that stash when my mother wasn't looking, so it generally disappeared faster than she might have expected.
There are myriad ways to deal with leftover Halloween candy, but this idea from Brown Eyed Baker might be the very best one that I've seen. It's creative, delicious, and unusual!
