[Editor's Note: Feed sacks come by their name honestly. These colorful patterned sacks originally held animal feed, flour or sugar. Eventually crafty woman started using this fabric to sew clothing and to make quilts. You don’t have to be a quilter or even a seamstress to love vintage fabric. Anytime I come across a pile of colorful scraps my heart goes pitter patter. I use feed sack to make jewelry, but I can’t wait to see the apple-core quilt blogger Amy Smart makes with her new stash. -Jen]
