The Wall That Heals

BlogHer Spotlight

Today, our nation honors all those brave men and women who lost their lives fighting for our freedom. I've often thought that the best way to honor such a sacrifice is to share their stories with the youngest among us. Today, one mother did exactly that at The Wall That Heals, a half-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C.:

"Charlie asked questions about the Memorial, the names and what it all means. Trying to explain the importance of Remembering on a 7-year-old level was challenging, much less what the Vietnam War was about."
