[Editor's Note:Knitting with friends is more fun. Even if you are not a member of your local Stitch-n-Bitch you can still find a group of chicks with sticks to compare yarn and patterns with. Join a KAL and knit up a storm with some cyber friends. Luv in the Mommyhood is currently hosting a Warm Up to Winter Knit Along. Participants can follow along on the blog, Flickr group and on Ravelry. The theme is hats and mittens, something every stylish snowbunny needs. - Jen]

Warm Up to Winter Knit Along

Blogger Shannon Cook from Luv in the Mommyhood wants everyone to join the KAL, novices and pros alike: "hats are a great beginner project so don't be scared if you are just starting out! there are also a ton of great beginner gloves and fingerless mitt patterns out there as well."

I just finished knitting a baby throw. My third grade teacher taught me the joy of knitting a scarf. It is more knitting with friends and relaxing too. I try to knit several rows each evening.
