When I Am Old I Shall Dye My Hair Aqua
By Joy in This Journey on September 20, 2012
Nursing a fantasy she's had since college, Joy has set her mind on an aquamarine 'do in her senior years. The only question I have for her, how do you know when you're old?
"Because I’ve spent too much of my life trying to be just like everyone else. But I’m not. God made you and I unique. That aqua streak would remind me in every reflection that I’m not like everyone else. Because Christians come in all shapes and sizes and colors. Jesus went to the freaks, weirdos, oddballs, and rejects. He condemned the Pharisees for trying to look the part when their hearts were ugly. I need to remember that my and your tendency to judge by the cover is weak and shallow."
